Mothers Circle is an exclusive year-long membership program for mothers who are ready for transformation.
A second Mothers Circle will be opening in the next couple of months! The venue will probably be in Gungahlin or Northside. Most of the spots will be reserved for clients who have booked in-home support packages; however, I have 3-4 spots available for non-clients. You can express interest by filling out the form at the bottom of this page.
The Mothers Circle that meets in Kambah on Tuesdays is now full, except for new clients booking premium support packages.
Would you love to relax into the first 6 weeks of motherhood, instead of feeling confused and overwhelmed by everything there is to learn?
Or are you a second-time mum who’s longing for the connection, acceptance, and belonging that you perhaps didn’t get the first time around?
Keep reading to learn more, and if this makes your heart sing, fill out the form at the bottom of the page to let me know your interest. Thank you!
Who can join?
Enrolments are open to pregnant women in their third trimester. If you’ve already had your baby, you can still join as long as your baby is under 3 months.
This is a mother-centred group. This means that we will focus on your feelings, emotions and insights through the first year of your baby’s life, rather than it being “all about the baby.”
At Mothers Circle, you will…
- … become aware of your unique strengths as a mother
- … be nurtured and celebrated
- … learn how to ask for – and receive – the kind of help you want
- … feel more connected to your communities
- … enjoy nourishing food and many cups of tea 🙂
- … feel calm and confident in your parenting choices
- … share your birth stories & postpartum journey and be truly heard
If you have had previous losses, you will have a chance to speak your babies’ names into our Circle and tell their stories too.
What’s included in your Mothers Circle Membership:
12 facilitated group meetings on the first Tuesday of every month in a beautiful venue
A nourishing vegetarian lunch at each group meeting
Digital mini-courses, delivered by email, on how to ride the waves of the first year of motherhood and understand your baby’s development & behaviour
1 year access to the free lending library of books, baby carriers, bellybinds, breast pumps and more
1 year of email support – you can contact me anytime to vent, get a specialist referral, ask questions or just check in
Any additions to the program that I make during your membership year – even if the price increases for future members
Priceless: authentic connection with like-minded mums, who may be different from you in looks and background, but who share your courage, vulnerability, desire for growth, and honesty.
Around once a quarter, one of our group meetings is organised around a special topic. Some of the topics I have in mind this year are: a babywearing demo, art journaling class, breathwork, pelvic floor rehabilitation, bodywork or massage. I’ll invite guest speakers or provide additional resources. The topics will be guided by the interests of the mothers in the program, so feel free to suggest a topic or guest speaker.
Mothers Circle welcomes mothers who are neurodiverse, have sensory issues, a disability, serious food allergies, or special requirements of ANY kind. If there are any obstacles to you attending the group meetings, I will make adjustments to make the space more accomodating. YOU do not have to change who you are to be part of this circle.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
The program is $50 per month (one-time payment of $600).
- Your membership is valid for one year, from the time your baby is born OR one year from the time you join, whichever comes last. This means any sessions you attend while pregnant are free.
- Once you pay your membership fee, your price is locked in, even if the fee increases for new members later in the year.
- If you book a premium support package with me while your membership is still active, your package will be discounted by the price you paid for membership.
How is this different from a free mums group?
Canberra is fortunate to have quite a lot of free mums groups, and I encourage you to check them out. However, unlike a free mums group, our group meetings are closed and facilitated.
Why is this important? Well, perhaps you’ve been to groups where one person’s point of view dominated the conversation. Or where you felt bombarded with advice, judgments and conflicting ideas. Perhaps you’ve attended groups where you really clicked with someone – and then never saw them again.
A closed, facilitated group transcends these issues – every woman has a chance to speak and be heard in a safe, private container. And since we journey together for a whole year, you will have a chance to make deeper, longer-lasting connections.
In addition to our group meetings, the program includes the digital mini-courses, access to the lending library of resources and supplies, and personalised email support.
Should I join Mothers Circle during my pregnancy or wait until I have my baby?
This women’s circle is uniquely designed to support you through the first year of your baby’s life.
You can join anytime in your third trimester. Your membership will still last until your baby is a year old, so the sessions while you are pregnant will be complimentary 🙂
I recommend you join as soon as you are eligible so that you can begin enjoying the benefits of a facilitated, private women’s circle.
If you have already had your baby, you are welcome to join as long as your baby is still under 12 weeks.
My premium in-home support packages always include Mothers Circle membership, so if you purchase membership now, and later decide to purchase a support package, your package will be discounted by the price you paid for membership.
I’m already a client! Do I need to do anything?
Nope. All premium packages include membership to the Mothers Circle, so you are all set. You will be notified of upcoming dates and activities.
Can I come along to try before I buy?
No. This is a safe space, where all members must be equally committed in order to ensure confidentiality.
For your peace of mind, I offer a 100% money back guarantee if, after attending two sessions, you decide this is not for you.
Can I bring my older children?
Yes! There will be a few toys at the venue, but I suggest you bring along something for them to do as well. Usually mothers opt to find care for their older children just so they can relax and focus on filling their own cup…but it’s entirely up to you.
Where is the venue?
One session is held in Kambah, on Tuesday mornings. (This session is currently closed to enrolments unless you are a new client booking a premium in-home support package.)
Our second circle, scheduled to open around the end of 2018, will probably be in Gungahlin or the Northside. This session is OPEN to enrolments.
What if my same-sex partner and I both want to join?
Your family membership will be $1000 for the year.
Are scholarships available?
I will be reaching out to a few organisations in Canberra to offer free or reduced spots for the Mothers Circle.
